Meet Christine and Carine, the dynamic sister duo currently revamping the food industry in the Middle East through innovative takes on classic Lebanese cuisine.

Christine Sfeir makes waves like chickpeas make hummus! In 1998 she introduced Dunkin Donuts to the Middle East by bringing the leading global coffee chain to Lebanon. When she isn't busy raising a family or running a business, she is just as likely to be at the gym playing basketball as she is to be at the North Pole skydiving. Christine has received numerous awards including Best Businesswoman in the Middle East in 2011, and has been listed in the Top 100 Most Powerful Arab Women list in 2012, 2013 and 2014 by Arabian Business. Christine finds balance by working hard during the day and hiding her smartphone at night. As a skilled executive and mother of two sweet daughters, we think she's pretty awesome!

Having backpacked to most corners of the world, Carine Assouad has a friend (and a couch) in nearly every country. As a natural creative, she studied graphic design and later transitioned to business. After attending HEC Paris, Carine became a strategy consultant in Paris and New York, namely at the Boston Consulting Group. Known by her peers as the "Queen of Excel," she has mastered the dark science of strategic planning and operational excellence. It's her equally balanced prowess at analyzing and designing that make her such a powerful player.

For Christine and Carine, home has always been where friends and family share a meal together. With her passion for food and adventure, it's no surprise that in 2013 Carine joined Christine to embark on a new journey: bringing Semsom to the US.
